Kyra Minton Sedgwick was born in New York City and is an American actress. Her name is known all over the world and especially in America because of her leading role in the TV The Closer's series. Sedgwick's interest in the arts, Broadway and acting began when she was just 12 years older. Her mother showed a keen interest in the Broadway and brought her into it. Sedgwick had her first professional acting part at the age of 16, when she appeared on "Another World," which was an upcoming TV show. Although she began by doing tiny-time television roles however, it was the notion of being an actress that intrigued her. Her debut big screen performance was in the movie 'Born on the Fourth of July in which she co-starred with Tom Cruise. Sedgwick was a part of Kevin Bacon in a TV show known as Lemon Sky. She married him at the age of 22. Sedgwick was a star on American television thanks to her impressive role in "The Closer", a seven-season TV series that earned her the Golden Globe Award and Emmy.
